Jewson film

is a production company headed up by director Vicky Jewson and producer Rupert Whitaker. Jewson Film produced Netflix original CLOSE, starring Noomi Rapace and Sophie Nelisee. Directed by Jewson and written by Jewson and Whitaker.

Jewson Film is creating an interconnected multiverse of films; partnering established talent with emerging writers and directors. The films will all be helmed by women, about women and will exist within the action and thriller genre.

Characters who are authentic, complex human beings with agency. At Jewson Film we want to create action with consequences. Action that advances character. It must earn its place on screen. Jewson Film has numerous other upcoming projects to be helmed by Jewson and co-written by Whitaker, including adapting bestselling author Hugh Howey’s novel SAND for television.

Vicky has just completed directing The Witcher: Blood Origin. Starring Sophia Brown, Laurence O’Fuarain and Michelle Yeoh.
